Pasta Personalities: Meet Stephanie Kinturi

Stephanie Kinturi Fun Pasta Fundraising

Ever wonder about the people behind our delicious pastas?  Who the person is on the other side of the phone when you call? Who writes those riveting and insightful blog posts (shameless plug)? Meet Stephanie Kinturi!!!

My job title is…

Marketing Noodle!  I write our fundraising blog, manage our social media and email marketing and many other things.

When I’m not at the Pasta Shoppe…

I’m taking care of my two beautiful children aged 6 and 8. I am so blessed to be their mommy.

Right now I am reading…

Speak Love, Making your Words Matter by Annie Downs. Being a writer I spend a lot of time thinking about words and the power they have to hurt or to heal. It is my hope that my words will do good and will effect positive change in the world.

My favorite sport is…

It’s a toss up between Soccer and Formula 1 Racing. Since my husband played soccer professionally I guess I’d have to go with Soccer!  🙂

Lately I’m craving…

Pasta, what else? 😆  I guess it’s an occupational hazard with our offices located one floor above the manufacturing plant.

Pet or pet peeve?

No pets at the moment. It’s hard enough to keep my children alive, which brings me to Pet Peeves. My pet peeve is whining. It’s not productive. Quit whining and Do something about it.

Talent I wish I had….

I’ve always wanted to be more athletic. I have the heart of an athlete with the coordination of “Bambi on Ice” and I have the scars and broken bones to prove it. Just call me “Grace”.

Favorite vacation spot?

I love to travel. My husband is a native Finn so we spend our summer vacations in Finland and travel around Europe. I especially love Rome!!!

The last thing that made me laugh…

Joann, and when you read her bio, you will too.

If you could have coffee with anyone (real or fictional, past or present) who would it be and why?

Either Frank Sinatra or Julia Child or Freddie Mercury…. I have a long, long eclectic list. And if we’re talking about fictional characters, then of course, Edward Cullen.

Only child/how many siblings?

I’m the oldest of three. I have a sister and a brother.

If I won the lottery I’d

use most of the $ to benefit Women and Children who are survivors of domestic abuse. I would take care of my family and I’d travel!!!

I’m passionate about…

my faith, my family and my friends.

My best subject in school…

was English/Creative Writing. I’ve always had a great love for books and writing is my therapy.

My relationship with Mother Nature is….

complicated. I’m allergic to pretty much every tree, bug and type of grass. My allergist advised me to “Buy a bubble”.

My guilty pleasure is

designer handbags!

The most beautiful thing I’ve seen

My children’s faces! Every time I look at them, I think, “I made that”.  They are my life’s work. My lifetime achievement.

Working at FUN Pasta Fundraising I’ve learned

it’s all about collaboration. No one is an island. Three heads are better than one. It’s important to have fun!

Best advice I’ve ever received…

This is not the dress rehearsal for your life. This is our go. So get out there and live. Eat dessert first, always use real butter and everything is better with bacon!!!
